Should one go with the natural flow of life or focus on things that require the most effort?
One philosophy is to open the eyes to opportunities which are naturally present.
The other philosophy is to embrace uncomfortable feelings on a consistent basis.
One of my mentors once told me, "If I'm comfortable, something's wrong."
Therein lies the question — what's the optimal balance between comfort and pain. Which one leads to growth?
I believe the first step to growth is embracing discomfort. But the second, and equally as important step, is rest. Rest leads to awareness.
Plant seeds. Embrace discomfort. Rest. Open the eyes to opportunities naturally present.
