My creative thinking seems to be directly correlated with the amount of time I spend exercising.
Something happens when I'm exercising — cardio, in particular. My brain seems to fire on all cylinders when my heart rate crosses a certain threshold. When I go multiple days without exercising, my mood, motivation, and creative thinking seem to all decrease.
While exercising, I feel that a certain portion of my brain slows down while another portion seems to ramp up. Pathways are cleared to problems that have had no answers. This headspace is where ah-ha! moments happen.
